Issue 230 of The Gooner from December 2012. Whilst the back cover celebrates a second 5-2 thrashing of Spurs in the calendar year, Jack Wilshere adorns the front after making his long-awaited first team comeback recently.

There is much to enjoy inside this issue, including a piece by Cathal Kearns who, quite reasonably, wants to enjoy Arsenal victories, especially those over Spurs (have we mentioned we beat them 5-2 recently?) and finds it quite disturbing how some people seem unable to do so at the moment.

Speaking of victories of Tottenham, Charlie Ashmore recalls an encounter with the old enemy in the semi-finals of the League Cup in 1987; a time when Arsenal had gone seven full years without a trophy and the prospect of a title challenge, whilst not quite laughable, was not far short.

There is also the first of a two part interview with respected French football writer Philippe Auclair who is the author of a recently published biography of Thierry Henry. Philippe explains his motivation for writing the book and discusses the prospect of him returning for another long stint in early 2013.

Plus much more including many of the regulars - the Highbury Spy (complete with Movember whiskers), Mickey Cannon, Anger Management, Inbox, match reports and In the Away End which this issue reveals the origins of the song “What do you think of Tottenham?”
