Aaron Ramsey is our cover star after a fine start to the season which has eclipsed his fellow Welshman and world’s most expensive player, Gareth… Gareth… nope can’t remember. Bet Real Madrid are kicking themselves for letting us have Özil as well as getting the wrong Welshman from North London.

Since the last issue we’ve been treated to some marvellous football including a wonderful performance against Napoli which prompted us to include a five page feature in this issue where Gooner writers recall some memorable European home matches spanning over 40 years.

The atmosphere in the stadium was terrific for the visit of the Italians, but that’s not always the case despite the best efforts of REDaction. However, at Selhurst Park, a group of fans known as the Holmesdale Fanatics have seemingly succeeded where others have failed and Mike Slaughter writes about what they’ve achieved.

There are also articles on Sunderland’s old ground at Roker Park, Joe Mercer, Nacho Monreal’s socks (yes, really!) and Phil Wall’s time machine takes us back to the programmes from the 1972-73 season.

All this plus much more besides including the Highbury Spy, Mickey Cannon, Anger Management, Inbox, In the Away End, North Bank Times and the Moment in Time photo this month is a wonderful image of David Rocastle taken by Offside snapper Mark Leech on the pitch at White Hart Lane in 1987.
